Leptogenesis from heavy Higgs relaxation

Yi-Peng Wu

Symmetry breaking during inflation can lead to a heavy lifting of the Higgs scale for the Standard Model. We consider leptogenesis due to the post-inflationary relaxation of the Higgs condensate form a heavy-lifted scale, where we identify a new class of relaxation dynamics triggered by the rapid oscillation of inflaton immediately following the phase of slow roll. In this talk I explain how inflaton can act as external force during the relaxation process and uncover a wide range of parameter space for a successful leptogenesis.
